What to Wear

I like to encourage you to bring solid colors,neutrals with texture, vibrant color, and long sleeves.  Bring at least 5 different styles of outfits for a senior session; 2-3 outfits for other sessions.  Try to avoid heavy patterns because they can be distracting to the subject. If you just cannot decide, I can help you choose the right wardrobe. Because we are capturing your personality, choosing the right wardrobe is important. But remember, we are photographing the person, not the clothes. 

Some ideas for fun collages are hats, tutus, and favorite stuffed animals.

What to Expect

Sessions are by appointment only. I require a non-refundable session fee to be paid the day you book. If, for any reason, you must cancel within 48 hours of your appointment, I will apply the session fee towards a future session.

The session fee includes time and talent only. Prints are sold separate. You should expect your session to last between 60-90 minutes. This will include time for me to build a rapport with you and/or your child. When your child warms up....... that is when the action starts. I am here to capture personality, not poses. I do know not to expect a 2-year-old to sit still and neither should parents. My goal is to make the session fun for your child. 

SENIORS!!! 

Tops:  Bring along your favorite jacket or sweater.  We suggest long sleeve for at least one outfit.

Identity Clothes:  Athletic,music, art, etc.

Something Different:  Show off your unique style with something fun, formal, wild, or all of the above!

Something Casual:  Your favorite thing to wear on a normal day.

Something Classic:  A timeless look that won't make you cringe in twenty years.

Nails:  Keep in mind that your hands will be in the portraits.

Details:  Bring hats or other accessories that complete your outfit.

Hair:  Do your hair before you arrive.  We don't suggest trying any new styles or colors right before your session.

Make-up:  Ladies...bring lipstick & powder for touch-ups.  We more mascara than usual.

Everyone...groom the eyebrows!

Things:  Your car, siblings, musical instruments, pet, best friend, athletic gear, etc.

If you have any special requests, please let me know at the beginning of the session.

What's next?

Within a few weeks, you will be able to view your portraits in a private slideshow on the web. You will have the web show available for a couple of weeks and then you will need to schedule your ordering session. Even though we obviously love children, on the day of the ordering appointment we advise not to bring your child so you can focus on your beautiful images. A deposit of half the total is expected upon ordering. Payment can be made by cash, check or credit card (MasterCard, Visa).
